Fun with Bridger!

My weekend started Thursday with a quick trip to Utah, I stopped at WallyMart for what else? Christmas lights! Yup its that time of year we do Christmas lighting in Jackson Hole, now when I was in WallyMart in Evanston (not my favorite place) I saw a sign Hair cuts $15.00. I like to try new and exciting things, ok, so not such a good idea but all I needed was a trim, well it was not worth $15.00, and who in the world can say they get their hair done at WallyMart? Then later that day I drove back home with Jami, Bridger and Foster, Mike came up later. Over the weekend, Steve and Mike did lights, one house was the owners of all the Pizza Huts, the other Beaman Gum (their house is filled with pics of them and Pres Bush, no comment there). Jami and I and the kids did lots of hikes, went to the park and ofcourse Bridgers favorite, feeding the horses and riding the 4 wheeler. We have been lucky the weather has been awesome highs in the 40's and lows in the teens. I know for most of you, you think that is cold but when its -38 here that is a heat wave for us. Great weekend, love spending time with family, soon Tagen and Eric will be moving to Utah for good, yippee, life is good!!!!

Labor Day

Labor Day, you can all thank my beautiful mother for having this day off, as 51 years ago today I was born. They said ,"we must make this a National Holiday". So today as I awoke to snow, dogs farting in bed and the smell of Steve's cooking I say to you all, Have a great day. Make each day count. Life is great. More fun

The last few weeks have been a blast. Jet blast that is. I was working one night and had not been on the ramp for awhile, a 757 came in and I was about to chalk the wheels, I must have been a bit close to the engine. I felt intense heat (you know the kind, like when Steve walks in the room, hubba bubba). Next thing I know my feet are off the ground and I'm doing the Moon walk minus the ground. Luckily my former Seal training reminded me, when all else fails protect the head. So as I complete (it would have won me Gold, in the Jet Blast Olympics), I begin to be blasted back towards Earth. I said to myself "tarmac hard! protect, the noggin," so I used my Incredible Hulk arm and landed full force on my arm, . I felt pain with, heat from the engine, was sure I had broken ribs, but flying 50 feet in the air will do that. My first thought was, I do hope someone has videotaped this, as I could use the $50,000 on America's Funniest. But alas, no one saw me, I got myself up and somehow managed to get to my car, I had a fellow friend drive, and then to keep me conscious, I asked him about his first relationship, and his first kiss. Hum no comments on that. Was in the horsepistal (that's what we call it in Wyoming) 4 days.

Parker Family Reunion

Last weekend we spent at Steve's wonderful sisters (Suzy) house, Im pretty sure, she will go straight to Heaven when she dies, hopefully she will visit me DownUnder! By the way all his family is awesome!

Baby Foster

Ok, so enough about me, now to my newest grandson, Foster Lee Ostrander, he was born 8/18/08, was having lots of problems, but now he is doing great. We had so much fun watching his big brother Bridger, we took him on a train ride, Steve was a real trooper taking care of a toddler and a middled aged one armed wife. He does very well in the bra department

3. Who said, "I love you" first? He did, I think who can remember over 34 years?
5. Who is smarter? That depends, if it is anything mechanical, mathematical, or common sense Steve. If it has to do with whats new with Brad and Angelina or social skills. me.
6. Who is more sensitive? That's a tie, the older you get, the higher the water level.
7. Who does the laundry? Me, I love to do the wash, but wont iron.Steve can sew though.
8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Steve does, we start in the middle and then roll to OUR sides of the bed, to protect each others territory
9. Who pays the bills? Me, Steve makes the money, I spend it.
10. Who cooks more? Steve, he loves to cook, I love to eat his cooking.
11. Who is more stubborn? Me, Steve is a push over!
12. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Me, Steve will go on and on and on, if he believes something is not right. For instant, don't ever ask him about :Draining Lake Powell, WalMart, Vinyl l fencing, he does not like any of those things.
13. Who has more siblings? he has 3 sisters and 2 brothers and we love them all!
14. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Well he wears pants, but I pretty much wear the pants, however he does at certain things.
15. What do you like to do together? Everything, travel, spend time with our families, anything we do, we have fun at.
16. Who eats more sweets? We both just quit sugar, I ate more sweets before, but neither one of us does now. He even stopped donuts. He loves his moms desserts.
17. Guilty Pleasures? Diet Coke, he is addicted
18. How did you meet? WX high school stomp, he was going to Bountiful and I Viewmont
19. Who asked whom out first? His side of the story is I stocked him, but he asked me to go to a movie first.
20. Who kissed who first? He kissed me, I responded
21. Who proposed? he did while fixing a car, yeah pretty romantic guy.
22. His best features and qualities? Hard worker, kind, strong, laughs at my silly jokes, loves his family, is a great boss, spiritual, loves life, really the perfect man.

Rounding up the week, Steve went horseback riding with his friend Val, then came to Utah to see Tagen and on Sat we went to Echo to visit Steve's parents at the campground. Bridger had so much fun in the water, the kid is half fish!

Right after girls camp I flew to Utah to see Tagen. She had her 10year high school reunion. We went to Nordstoms to get the perfect outfit, but the lady helping us wanted Tagen in 60's outfits. The best part was when Mike brought her a dress with a wool top and Pilgrim looking skirt, she couldn't get it off her head. We opted for good ol' jeans. She took the camera but was having too much fun talking and seeing old friends. Here are some of the friends she saw. Stefanie Ried Eggett, Chamberlin Neff and his wife Michelle, and Angel Lammers.

Fun day playing water baseball. Check out the bridgerland in the background. Steve built all by hand. It has rock climbing wall, swings, repelling wall, fort on top that some of the cousins slept on, sandbox, and were waiting for the big slide.

BEAR LAKE

We had a lot of fun with Mike, Jami, and Bridger at Bear Lake. It was nice just being on the boat and relaxing, and of course playing with Bridger.

Jami and my friend Stef took there kids up to the Mountain where Steve works. Steve has some good hook ups being a manager there. They were able to go up on the Gondola and eat some food up on top of the World. Here's Jami and Steve with the kiddos.
