I was thinking that there is nothing physical I want for Christmas. Sure a new computer would be nice, but I have one that works, and when I use it I think of prehistoric times. A nice new outfit is always fun, but after one use, its not new. So what I really want is what I already have. Someone said to me, "you have had a rough year", and yes there have been times I wanted to kick the nearest cow, or scream at the wind, or just plain cry my eyes out till there till the pain goes away. But the reality is, this year has awakened me. When my grandson Paul was born I was so excited, and the 8 days he lived his earthly life, were my most spiritual of my whole life, he taught me just how close Heaven really is. When my cousin Paul died, I was reminded that life is too short not to say those things to people that mean so much to you, his funeral was really beautiful, but did he know I really loved him as a big brother? Going to Africa reminded me that there is injustice everywhere. That the millions of children in the world that are stuck in overcrowded, dirty, and unloved orphanges makes me just so very sad, and also that no matter what I do in this life, it must be good things I do. And finally, when Jami started to get ill, I prayed that the doctors would figure it out, that someone cared enough for this wonderful daughter of mine to help her. I have felt frustrated that I am stuck in Wyoming, a place I truely love, but Im so far from her. But my prayers were answered and they now know she has Lymes disease, a very debilating disease, but one that will again change all our lives for the better. So if you really want to know what I want for Christmas, its not all wrapped up in a pretty box, it isn't freshly fallen snow on my lawn, I just want those in my life to know just how blessed you have made my life. I love you all so much, and mirror words can't fill in the pages of this post. So here's to all of you Happy Holidays, and may your 2010, find you healthy, being a lot more kinder, going slower and doing the things that really matter in life, and mostly keeping your eldest Brother Jesus Christ in your hearts, minds and souls. Luv you all.....

I'm so grateful to have had the chance to visit and take goodies to the orphanages of Africa, I thought going there I would be able to give a little but what happened was my heart is full and I returned with a greater appreciate for what I have. What incredable people, beautiful children that only wanted love and hugs. Tagen, Sarah (my friend in young womans) Lynn (my friend from work) and I will be returning again, our adventure has just started.......

Last week I ran into some old friends and they asked how many grandkids we have, at first I said 3, then 2, then back to 3. I'am so blessed to have 3 very different grandsons. Paul, although I got to spend only 8 days with him, what a glorious 8 days it was. He taught me so much about true prayer, faith and hope. I can feel his little spirit around me, and I love him so much. Foster, seems chubbyness runs in the family. Foster is such a fun baby, he is always happy, and his laugh is contagious, and he loves licorice as much as we do. Bridger, we had him 5 days without his parents, I'am woren out, but so grateful at his little personality. My favorite is when he is trying to go to sleep and he takes my hands and places them on both sides of his face, gets his face real close to mine and then tells me he wuvs me. I'am grateful for family, for my awesome son in laws, and my daughters, and my honey Steve, and for my 3 grandsons. Yes life is great and I am blessed.

My weekend started Thursday with a quick trip to Utah, I stopped at WallyMart for what else? Christmas lights! Yup its that time of year we do Christmas lighting in Jackson Hole, now when I was in WallyMart in Evanston (not my favorite place) I saw a sign Hair cuts $15.00. I like to try new and exciting things, ok, so not such a good idea but all I needed was a trim, well it was not worth $15.00, and who in the world can say they get their hair done at WallyMart? Then later that day I drove back home with Jami, Bridger and Foster, Mike came up later. Over the weekend, Steve and Mike did lights, one house was the owners of all the Pizza Huts, the other Beaman Gum (their house is filled with pics of them and Pres Bush, no comment there). Jami and I and the kids did lots of hikes, went to the park and ofcourse Bridgers favorite, feeding the horses and riding the 4 wheeler. We have been lucky the weather has been awesome highs in the 40's and lows in the teens. I know for most of you, you think that is cold but when its -38 here that is a heat wave for us. Great weekend, love spending time with family, soon Tagen and Eric will be moving to Utah for good, yippee, life is good!!!!

The last few weeks have been a blast. Jet blast that is. I was working one night and had not been on the ramp for awhile, a 757 came in and I was about to chalk the wheels, I must have been a bit close to the engine. I felt intense heat (you know the kind, like when Steve walks in the room, hubba bubba). Next thing I know my feet are off the ground and I'm doing the Moon walk minus the ground. Luckily my former Seal training reminded me, when all else fails protect the head. So as I complete (it would have won me Gold, in the Jet Blast Olympics), I begin to be blasted back towards Earth. I said to myself "tarmac hard! protect, the noggin," so I used my Incredible Hulk arm and landed full force on my arm, . I felt pain with, heat from the engine, was sure I had broken ribs, but flying 50 feet in the air will do that. My first thought was, I do hope someone has videotaped this, as I could use the $50,000 on America's Funniest. But alas, no one saw me, I got myself up and somehow managed to get to my car, I had a fellow friend drive, and then to keep me conscious, I asked him about his first relationship, and his first kiss. Hum no comments on that. Was in the horsepistal (that's what we call it in Wyoming) 4 days.

Rounding up the week, Steve went horseback riding with his friend Val, then came to Utah to see Tagen and on Sat we went to Echo to visit Steve's parents at the campground. Bridger had so much fun in the water, the kid is half fish!

Right after girls camp I flew to Utah to see Tagen. She had her 10year high school reunion. We went to Nordstoms to get the perfect outfit, but the lady helping us wanted Tagen in 60's outfits. The best part was when Mike brought her a dress with a wool top and Pilgrim looking skirt, she couldn't get it off her head. We opted for good ol' jeans. We had a lot of fun with Mike, Jami, and Bridger at Bear Lake. It was nice just being on the boat and relaxing, and of course playing with Bridger.

For a few weeks now Steve and I have been waiting for the weather to get warm. The Yellow Balsam Root flowers and fields of Dandelions are beautiful. The Snake River still has not peaked, meaning some awesome rapids come July 4th. On Wed June 11 we awoke to snow, Thursday more snow, vacation visitors that went through Yellowstone had to have chains and snow tires. You just gotta love the weather in Jackson..........................................

Mike, Jami, Bridger, and the dogs came up to house for the long weekend. It was nice to have them up and having Bridger feeling better. Bridger Loves the horses the 4 wheeler and his Grandma. Saturday in Jackson was a mountain man rendezvous so we headed up to check things out. We also ran into the Tyler's of Jackson 2nd ward it was nice to talk to them for a while. It was a great time hanging out with the kids for the weekend.

Today my friend Stef (grad of WX go CATS!) and her darling kids came up for the day, it was Stef's b-day and they are moving to Jackson. Wyatt wanted to go to a playland, I tried to explain that Jackson it more of a outdoor playland (he didnt think that was cool at all, he wanted Donald's). We went to the visitors center, Wyatt liked the bear cave, Lilly liked the geese that were on the roof laying eggs, Stef enjoyed our Favorite Mexican place, Merry Piglets, I enjoyed sluffing work. JOYS :

1-Family, I love being married to the sexiest 50 year old this side of the Border! I still find Steve amazing and the way he makes me feel makes my heart go pit or patter. Of course being over 50 makes any heart go a skip a beat or two. I’m so proud of my daughters Tagen and her darling hubby Eric, Jami and her crazy fun Mike and their son, my beautiful grandson Bridger. I love his smile, and well, just love him unconditionally! We have an old brown jeep, some of you might remember “Brownie” and it’s his as soon as he turns 16, 15 more years to fix it up. Yup I love them all!

2-Love nature, I counted all the animals in one week that I saw on my way to work this is my list: a hairy mountain sheep in the rocks, moose (tons of them outside my office) Buffalo, thousand of elk, deer, a badger crossing the road, a wolf (early in the morning), skunk (for some reason Jami likes the smell), our horses and the way they run through the field or the way they surround me when I bring out apples and carrots.

3- The gospel, however I still don’t like to bear my testimony, I have visions of my skirt falling off as I walk up there, or saying something so stupid everyone just stares. But I do love Sundays and how peaceful you feel.

FEARS:
1- Snakes, once when I was younger my cousin threw one around my neck, um lets just say I still hate snakes.

2-Heights, however Steve and I did climb the Sidney Harbor Bridge, strapped on by cable and climbed on top of it, I said a prayer and figured well if I fell it would make one heck of a obituary! This summer I’m doing a 10,000 foot kite jump off Teton Mountain with a guide, again figure one heck of an obituary

3. Frogs, once my cute little innocent adopted Garret threw one on me at Lake Powell and it went between my chest and I flipped out, ok, so I might have said a swear word or two, but frogs belong in a pond not on my cleavage!

GOALS:
1- To be kind to everyone and never judge people!

2- Continue to eat healthy, haven’t had sugar in 6 weeks, grrrr!

3- Listen to that still small spirit, it’s amazing if you listen just how you can help others. Listening is a lost art, we are so good at talking and telling others what we think what they should do, but really, just listening is where you will get the best results.

RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME:
1- I was once bite by a coyote, he looked skinny so I was chucking crackers and cheese whiz and he got a bit close and bite my hand, no worries, Willie Coyote was rabies free!

2- I was a twin, he died at birth I was a whopping 9.6 pounds. My mom had fallen early in the pregnancy and things should have been done different. Its nice now that things are better for expecting mothers. When Jami had so many problems getting pregnant and losing babies, it was a doctor in the small town of Jackson Hole that figured out that she, Tagen, and I all have a folic acid problem, and it’s a miracle that I even had the two girls I did. Amazing how different places take you, and how you get answers in the strangest places. Im grateful for living in a place that a doctor could figure out the problems we Parker girls have!

3. I have written a children’s book and have been to chicken to publish it. Also I love to write and read, I need to make it more of a priority in my life and just take the plunge, kind of like jumping out of a airplane, (which I have done), Just do it! Again another great obituary story!

Steve and I both are enjoying the wonderful Tetons. Steve works at the Jac Hole Mountain Resort as a manager, but this is what he really does; he skis in the winter and drives 4 wheelers in the summer. We are excited to have our summers back. Selling the horse business was a mixed blessing, we still have our horses and have two baby cows. Now mind you we had one cow last year, we were going to kill. However after becoming friends with Edna (she was Special Ed, till I found out it was a girl), she would take corn from my hand, lick Bridger to death, well there was no way I could eat her. So we took her back and traded the guy to take two of our horses to winter. We now have two babies, and yeah Im pretty sure it will be the same story. Steve has the worse calling I think in the church, Gospel Doc, we both had it but I got out of it and Im in Young Womans. I work at SkyWest as a Admin Assit. I love wearing levi's to work, today I took a picture of 8 Moose outside my office, everyday Im in wonder of where we live. I hope one day the snow will melt. Its funny anything over double digits, and Im like, hey a heat wave. But when its -35 I dont like! But its never hot up here in the summer. We enjoy traveling, you cant beat a first class ticket to anywhere in the world for free. My newest adventure is Im a EMT for my little town. It keeps me busy and is pretty rewarding. We love it here, Miss our family, Miss our Grandson, but go to Utah often and California. Come visit we have tons of room, and life in this area is 9 months of winter and 3 months of visitors....................................................................
